Learn about our services

  • Most homes — and even most office buildings — have at least one hose bibb (an outdoor faucet). These faucets are commonly used in the spring and summer for watering lawns and flowers, filling pools, and washing cars or recreational equipment. They’re a useful but often overlooked plumbing fixture.

Hose bibbs can become problematic if they start leaking or freeze during the winter. A hard freeze can cause the piping inside the wall to burst, leading to flooding in basements, crawl spaces, walls, or between floors. In these hidden areas, a small leak can turn into major damage before you even notice it. Sometimes, the resulting damage can require extensive repairs, mold remediation, or emergency drying.

Before cold weather and freezing temperatures set in, it’s wise to check your hose bibbs to ensure they’re in good condition — free of cracks or breaks — and ready to be winterized.

We offer annual inspections and can also provide winterization tips and recommend the best faucet covers to protect your home.
